Zana Cosmetics Review

I recently received a few products from Zana Cosmetics for review and I am so excited to blog about them :) Zana is an organic cruelty free brand that doesn't use any parabens or other bad for you ingredients. I must say I'm in love :)

Let's get on with the product reviews.

First up is the Exotic Lips - Lip Plumper:

This lip gloss is a milky soft pink that adds a nice shine to your lips as well as slightly plumping them. It gives a tingly feeling as most lip plumpers do but not in an annoying I gotta take this off way ;)

Kiss My Lips Lipstick in Let's Celebrate:

This is the perfect nude lip stick for me. The color is super pigmented and creamy and just looks great on my skine tone, I'm really impressed. My lips were super chapped when I took the pic btw, the lipstick actually made them feel smoother.

Seductive Eyes High Color Shadow in Boo Beige:

I love using this as a highlight color. Super pigmented and very blendable!

Last is the Delicious Cheeky Blush in Tropical Forrest:

I love using this as a bronze highlight, adds a beautiful healthy looking glow.

Overall I love Zana and can't wait to get more of their products :)

Girly Nail Art

I like to dabble in nail art every once in a while. I generally only do it on special occasions since it takes so much time and concentration (imagine using teeny tiny brushes to make tiny designs on a nail). I'm a little OCD when it comes to nail art, when I make mistakes it really bothers me but I've learned to accept the imperfections. Well anyways, my cousin's fiance is having a bridal shower that's Marie Antoinette themed so I want to do a nail wheel based on a girly/french concept.

I might have gone a little off concept but I think there's a few designs that stand out. I love the two cupcake variations and the roses.

Clicking on the pictures makes them larger.

Some close-ups:

Some turned out better than others, I'm kind of regretting the Eiffel Tower, but overall I like them. Let me know what you think.

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer

I've really been into highlighters recently, I think it's because of the summer. This product hands down is the best highlighter I own.

Blended out on my hand:

This product can be used a few different ways. As a traditional highlighter on the cheeks, nose and cupids bow. An an inner corner or brow bone highlight, and you can also dust a bit on your décolletage.

This shimmer is so beautiful, and captures the light well. A little goes a long with this product so don't be heavy handed. Lovesit!!!

$24 on theBalm's Website but you can also probably find it @ Marshals for less.

Tarte LipSurgence™ lip luster in Adored Review

Tarte makes really great natural products that make me feel good about using them. I've swatched and looked at this lip luster so many times in the store before I broke down and got it, I don't regret the purchase.

The pictures don't do it justice.

What Tarte Says:
As a follow up to tarte's best-selling LipSurgence™ natural lip tints, these shimmering lip lusters give a high dose of color and shine in an easy twist-up stick. Just like the original, tarte's LipSurgence™ technology delivers a surge of moisture on a cellular level for a naturally plumped up appearance while natural peppermint adds a refreshing burst of flavor with each application.

This products is made with a bunch for good for you ingredients like jojoba seed oil and vitamin C & D. As far as the restoring effects for lips I can definitely say that every time I use this product it leaves my lips refreshed and moisturized. It has an unexpected minty smell to it that I got used to really quick

There are tiny glitters in the lip luster that leave a beautiful sparkle to the lips. Once the glossiness fades and it rubs off there is some glitter still left on your lips which doesn't bother me but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Totally love this products and how it's such a pretty and girl pink.

It's $24 @ Ulta & Sephora.

June My Glam Review

My patience was wearing thin for My Glam, I was left disappointed month after month still hoping that one month things would get better (first world problems). The makeup gods seem to have answered my prayers this month, and finally My Glam has redeemed themselves.

Not only did I like the contents of this month's bag but they also sent everyone's bag either on time or early. I saw very few issues with the shipping and billing this month, they have obviously improved their businesses practices.

Pros:
-Bag is cute and super girly
-2 full size products
-2 decently size samples
-The lip stick color I got is pretty
-I have been wanting to try Living Proof and there's enough in the sample to use for months
-The lotion is great for any skin type and feels refreshing
-The eyeliner pen has a fine point great for doing a winged liner look

Cons:
-The bag has a fishy smell
-It's near impossible to take the eyeliner off once applied

This is after rubbing my hand hard with a makeup wipe trying to get the eyeliner off.

There was also some confusion as to if the eyeliner was contact lens safe. The basic gist is that as long as you don't put it in your waterline you should be okay. If the pen gets on your lenses it would be hard to take it off of them. I wouldn't worry about it.

(FYI)Michelle Phan advises you use a oil based eye makeup remover to get the liquid liner off.

Well there you have it, I hope that My Glam continues on sending out great products and that this is a sign that only good things are to come.

OPI If You Moust, You Moust Review (Minnie Mouse Collection)

Nail polish is such a simple pleasure, especially when it is made well and has a nice pun for a name. The new OPI Minnie Mouse collection is made for the girly girl that loves pink, I happen to fit that category :) I made myself pick just one, and I'm glad it was this one.

When I finally got around to taking a picture of my nails it was the third day of wear, and I have to say they are holding up well. This is a bright light pink that is opaque enough in one coat but I always do two just in case.

The formula wasn't streaky and was really easy to use. I love this color for summer, and out of all the pink nail polishes I own it's my favorite!

$8.50 @ Ulta

theBalm Down Boy Blush Review

I loves theBalm, we all know this, let's get on with the review :)

Their packaging is so darn cute I can't stand it! The blush itself is a light rosey pink that leaves a beautiful flush on the cheeks. A little goes a long way, I made the mistake of being heavy handed and ended up looking a little clownish. The powder is super bendable and non chalky.

$21 @ Sephora and theBalm website.

I'm a slacker...

I've been slacking on the posts of late, I know I feel bad about it. It's my last summer of freedom before grad school begins and join the real world again, so I've been lounging around all day. Not that it's any excuse... Well I will try to make myself put a post a day from now on (let's see how long that lasts lol).

Enjoy this bunny picture I found on disapproving rabbits (my favorite rabbit blog).
